SilverStone have revealed some pictures of their upcoming flagship computer case, the Raven RV04. The Raven RV04 is a clear evolution of its predecessor the RV03 featuring a more curved front design, yet it drops the highlights on the front that the RV03 used.
While the SilverStone RV03 featured a 90 degree rotated motherboard tray, the RV04 uses an upside down (180 degree rotation) motherboard tray. The motherboard tray supports ATX, E-ATX, SSI-EEB and SSI-CEB motherboards.
The SilverStone RV04 features two 5.25 inch bays, seven 3.5 internal bays and four 2.5 inch internal bays. Two of the 3.5 inch drive bays feature back planes to enable hot swapping. CPU cooler support is up to 165mm and PSU support up to 180mm. Graphics cards up to 337mm or 13.26 inches are supported, they can be as tall as 170mm or 6.69 inches.
The front panel uses USB 3.0 ports with an internal motherboard header and the usual audio jacks. Ventilation is provided by two front 180mm AP181 intake fans which operate up to 1200RPM with a noise rating of 34 dBA, a rear 120mm exhaust fan area is provided but no fan included.
The SilverStone RV04 measures in at 219mm (W) x 581mm (H) x 497mm (D) and weighs 10.9 kg. Construction materials are mainly steel and reinforced plastic. Two variants with be available, one with a “normal” opaque side panel (Product Number SST-RV04B) and one with an acrylic window side panel (Product Number SST-RV04B-W).
