Silverstone Redline Series RL04 Mid-Tower Chassis Review

The left side of the chassis features a raised section and mounts for two 120mm or 140mm fans.

Down the front left side we have the reset button, a pair of USB 3.0 ports and the headset / microphone ports.

The chassis features a very cool, magnetic dust filter and this can be placed on either the side of the chassis or on the top fan mounts, dependant on your fan configuration that is very handy.

Because the filter is magnetic you can mount it on the outside of the chassis and it adds a little touch of style, but also make maintenance super easy. Just remove it, wash it, dry it, replace it, done.

The top panel of the chassis features a raised section with 120mm and 140mm fan mounts, the raised section should allow extra clearance from any cooling solutions and the top edge of your motherboard.

The front panel features a very cool looking design with some very pronounced ventilation areas and mesh. Along the top we have four clip-on 5.25″ drive bay covers.

In the center we have this very cool looking red logo, but in an effort to combine style with practicality it also doubles as the power button.

The right side panel features the same raised section as the left and that will keep things nice and symmetrical, of course on this side it doesn’t feature fan mounts, but the raised section should allow a little extra room for cables behind the motherboard.

Around the back we have a 120mm fan mount, but unfortunately there isn’t a fan included here. There are 7 expansion slot covers that are pre-cut with ventilation but they’re off a “snap-off” design and once removed they can’t be re-attached to the chassis.

The underside features four durable rubber feet and a small slide out dust filter that will help provide clean air to your PSU, the slide out design will certainly make cleaning this filter a whole lot easier.
