Bohs Hansen / 10 years ago
The latest SilverStone chassis comes in two variants, one optimized for airflow and with a side panel window and the other optimized for silent operation. The Kublai KL05 is a high-quality ATX tower for enthusiast builds in style with its support of everything from basic setups to liquid cooled fun.
The Kublai KL05 is easy to set up thanks to the tool-less 5.25-inch drive bays and flexible drive cages that can hold both 2.5-inch and 3.5-inch drives.
The tall and slender case has plenty of cooling support where you can mount 240mm or even 280mm radiators at both the top and front with numerous paths for tubing.
The Kublai KL05 is offered in two versions, one with open mesh at the front for extra air intake and the other comes with sound-absorbing foam and a closed front. Both types have easy to remove dust filters.
As it is sold, you can mount two external 5.25-inch drives and six internal 2.5-inch or 3.5-inch drives. Howevr, you can purchase an additional drive cage for three more internal slots. There is room for two 120 or 140mm fans at the front and top while the rear holds one 120mm fan and the bottom plate can hold up to two 120mm fans.
Eight expansion slots give enough room for multi-GPU setups and the case comes with two USB 3.0 and audio ports in the front panel. CPU coolers can’t exceed 165mm height and PSUs shouldn’t exceed 225mm. Graphics cards up to 406mm (16-inch) should be supported as well, but that is without HDD cage in front of the card.
The recommended End User price (excl. VAT) is $69.97 USD for both the KL05B-Q and KL05B-W. Both will available in stock on the 16th of June, so you don’t have to wait long if this is something that you’d fancy.
