Silverstone SETA D1 Case Review

Design

The Silverstone SETA D1 is an interesting-looking case, as it’s quite clearly a premium quality build and product, but it’s got some pretty old-school vibes about it too, namely the large bank of 5.25″ bays on the front! The case is really robust and simple though, with thick side panels, and no windows, which is rare these days but certainly welcome, as not everyone needs glass and RGB.

The front panel is nicely laid out though, with two USB 3 ports, a Type-C, headphone combi jack, and reset/power controls at the top. The 5.25″ covers are recessed and feature a mesh design for added airflow.

There’s a nice mesh design on the lower section, with a supporting frame behind it that’s visible, and a 3D Silverstone logo set into a slight recess, overall, it looks pretty stylish I think.

Up on the top, it’s simple enough with a large dust filter for any top-mounted cooling. It’s a small detail, but it’s slightly recessed so the cover sits flush with the top of the case.

The right side panel looks pretty much identical to the left, just another blank panel, but again, it’s all clean and tidy looking.

The front panel shroud is plastic, but it’s much thicker and more durable plastic than we often see on cases, and I appreciate that brushed metal-effect texture on the side too, small details add up.
