SilverStone SST-MR01 Aluminium Monitor Riser Review

Installing the SST-MR01 monitor riser is as simple as anything, you simply pick up your monitor, put the stand where ever you need it and put your monitor back on top. Of course, that’s true for most people, as I must admit that lifting my 28″ 4K monitor is no easy task while trying to slide the stand underneath it, so perhaps ask someone to lend a hand with the process to prevent your screen from taking a tumble.
The riser is quite low, so those who don’t have height adjustable monitors aren’t going to feel too disoriented and as you can see, there’s just enough room underneath the unit to house my TKL keyboard and mouse. This frees up a load of room on my desktop and if you’re sat trying to work through some paperwork or eat your lunch at your desk, as I often do, the extra room is a bit of a blessing.
The SST-MR01 comes in black and silver, the silver would match my SilverStone AMP and DAC, as well as the lovely headphone stand, but since I keep them on a unit just off to the side of my desk, I chose the black stand to match the other hardware currently on my desk. All the items are premium quality brushed aluminium and they certainly make a nice set; it’s nice to see SilverStone thinking about multiple aspects of desktop configuration.
