Performance
A quick glance at the performance results might not look too impressive. There are, however, a number of factors to consider with the SilverStone AR01 that make this a lot better than appearances might lead you to believe.
Firstly, it should be noted that this by no means targets itself as a ‘high-performance’ air cooler. It is, for all intents and purposes, a cooler designed to give the best performance possible on a budget-friendly price.
When you take this into consideration (and based on what your expectations of what such a cooler may be) this performs exceptionally well in both temperatures and acoustics.
It is quite a notable surprise even when overclocking as this also gives a more than acceptable performance. Achieving 66C as a maximum temperature while putting under this pressure is very impressive and shows that for such a relatively small cooler, it handles its job more than well. Perhaps with a little extra under the hood. One is left to wonder what this could achieve with a 2nd fan fitted.
