How Much Does it Cost?
Retailing for a price of around £34.99, while this is the latest revision to the AR01 design, SilverStone hasn’t deemed it necessary to crank up and the price and as such, in terms of a cost-friendly cooling solution, this definitely ticks the right box.
Overview
Is there is any criticism to be made of the SilverStone AR01 in the past, it’s that the model always struggled to find a place for itself in what was clearly an overcrowded market.
With the revisions made in the latest TUF Gaming Alliance release, however, this cooler definitely stands apart. Yes, it might not have RGB lighting, but not everyone likes that. In addition, it might not have the most mind-blowing aesthetics, but what is there is nice.
It’s clearly a product which is reflective of the price, but they’ve achieved this using all the best methods possible with very little compromise to the design itself.
Should I Buy One?
As we noted earlier, if you are in the market for an inexpensive cooler for your PC, you’re not exactly struggling to find various brand and models all competing for your money. There is, however, a general key factor of note. Largely, that the vast majority of them are better suited in a bin than on a PC.
So, in regards to the SilverStone TUG Gaming Alliance AR01, the question is: does it stand out from the pack? – Well, in terms of presentation and performance, this is definitely a step up from the vast majority of it’s competitors who charge as much or even more for what are inferior products.
Yes, this didn’t exactly give a blistering performance, but for £35 would you really expect that? – The SilverStone AR01 is primarily designed to give you the best cooling performance possible for the price it is sold for and in that regard, it’s definitely worth the money and has a performance and aesthetic well beyond your expectations.
