SilverStone Unveils its 80-Plus Bronze ET500-ARGB PSU

SilverStone isn’t a brand I would usually associate with budget-focused power supply products. In fact, I personally rate many of their designs to be some of the best available on the market, and, by proxy, that usually comes with a price tag to match. In something that may offer consumers an exceptionally tempting compromise, however, SilverStone has today announced the launch of their new ET500-ARGB power supply.

Coming solely as a 500-watt power output design, it wouldn’t appear that SilverStone doesn’t intend to charge a premium for this new ET500-ARGB. As such, if you were in the market for a new power supply with all the bells and whistles of ARGB lighting thrown into the mix, this could well be worth some consideration.

However, it isn’t all about lights as the ET500-ARGB packs plenty of good features for a power supply, including an 80-plus Bronze efficiency rating, single 12V rail design, and more than enough cables to attach the sort of low to mid-tier gaming PC this has been targeted towards.

Features & Specification

  • Display up to 17 lighting effects via ARGB control button
  • High efficiency with 80 PLUS Bronze certification
  • 24/7 continuous power output with 40℃ operating temperature
  • Class-leading single +12V rail
  • PCIe 8 pin and 6 pin connectors support
  • Works with ARGB motherboards or other ARGB devices using +5V ARGB connector

Where Can I Learn More?

Although SilverStone has not yet confirmed any specific prices for the ET500-ARGB, we would anticipate it to cost something in the region of £55-£65. For a power supply coming from a company as reputable as SilverStone, the price would certainly seem to represent some excellent value for money. This is clearly pending confirmation though! – If you do, therefore, want to learn more about this new PSU design, you can check out the official product website via the link here!
