Microsoft announced today that everybody’s favourite yellow family is coming to Minecraft. From late February the whole Simpsons family will be available alongside 19 other characters from the animated series as part of a downloadable skin pack.
“We have an active community of more than 14 million die-hard Minecraft fans on Xbox Live enjoying the wide range of downloadable content on Xbox, and they have been clamoring for us to bring Simpsons characters to the game,” – Xbox’s Phil Spencer.
The $1.99 pack will be available for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in pretty much in the same way Doctor Who characters were back in October. This new deal and that previous one with the BBC, appears to be part of Microsoft’s efforts to get the most out of its $2.5 Billion purchase of Minecraft developer Mojang.
