Single Player Campaign of Gwent Card Game to Explore Untold Stories

We already knew that CD Projekt RED was working on a free-to-play collectible card game based on Gwent, the mini-game that was introduced in The Witcher 3, but what we didn’t know is that this game will actually explore untold stories as part of its single-player campaign, which means that it will probably include characters that never actually made it into the final installment of the Witcher series. Sources indicate that Gwent: The Witcher Card Game will include quite a few old characters (maybe even Iorveth) as well as plenty of new ones that were actually present in the books but not in the main game.
From what I’ve seen in a gameplay video released during Gamescom, this title will feature similar gameplay to its Witcher 3 counterpart, which means that those of you who already have some experience with it will feel right at home trying it out for the first time. There’s no word regarding an exact release date for Gwent: The Witcher Card Game at the time of writing, but we do know that it is expected to come out for the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One consoles. The title will offer both single-player and multiplayer modes, and it will definitely be appreciated by plenty of Witcher fans.
