Siri And Her Super Mario Run Puns

If you’re lucky (or unlucky) enough to own an iOS device, you’ll know that Super Mario Run is available to buy right now. What you might not know though, is about Siri and her Super Mario Run puns. Siri has some pretty funny things to say when you tell her “It’s Mario time”. What people find funny is of course subjective, but I found them hilarious, take from that what you wish. You can also ask her other questions related to the app, things such as;

“Do you like Super Mario Run?” or “Do you play Super Mario Run?”

Go ahead, give them a try!

Here is a link to a page on Soundcloud, where Brian Crecente has been kind enough to record Siri’s responses.

Super Mario Run has been pretty well received, topping download charts and having mostly positive reviews. However, there has been a little backlash over the price tag that goes with it. It seems people would have preferred in-app purchases rather than a pay-once approach. Personally, I dislike in-app purchases, and maybe one-off payments are a good idea, it would certainly stop those “accidental” purchases that can sometimes run up huge bills.

As reported last week, the app also requires an active internet connection, a requirement we’re likely to see a lot of in the future, so I think it’s something we’ll need to get used to, along with charging our batteries a little more often.

In regards to the Android release, Nintendo has made a couple of statements, firstly;

“In order to develop the game and make it as special, we had to focus on one platform and we decided to focus on iOS, iPhone, [and] iPad”

So it seems they teamed with iOS initially, but where does this leave Android users?

“in the future, it is coming to Android, we’ve made that commitment and something that will happen in 2017.”

So for now, hang in there Android, you haven’t been forgotten, just neglected.

Have you downloaded Super Mario Run? What do you think? Now that iOS users have been guinea pigs for us Android users, would you recommend buying it?
