The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is one of the biggest RPG games of a generation, and with the recent release of Skyrim Special Edition giving the game a new lease of life well after its initial release, the modders out there have been furiously working to port their mods over to the new 64-bit engine, even creating more complex mods than was previously possible due to performance issues.
The team behind the extremely ambitious Skywind mod have been working hard too, and have just released a new teaser trailer for their Skyrim Skyblivion Mod. They’re aiming to recreate the entirety of The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion in the heavily updated Skyrim engine and so far, it looks like it’s going rather well.
The project is huge, no doubt about that, and even seeks to include all of the Oblivion DLC packs… including Horse Armor?
Check out the trailer below, and then tell me you’re not excited to play this! Unfortunately, no release date, but good things come to those who wait.
To end this year on a high note I wanted to show you all how far the Skyblivion project has come during its development cycle, we still have allot of work ahead of us but the end is in sight and the ”to do” list grows shorter every month.
2017 is going to be a big year for us as we have started focusing our efforts on quests, scripting, 3D/re-modeling new assets, making an Oblivion inspired user interface and overall improving the aesthetics of a province that was already the most beautiful of any Elder Scrolls game.
We hope to see you all next year as Skyblivion continues to be developed and supported by the amazing Elder Scrolls community. For now this has been an incredible year for everyone involved and we wish you all happy holidays in advance.
There is one last surprise I have in store which arrive in your sub box at the end of the month but you will just have to wait and see that for yourselves. Here is a list of whats new: Armors, weapons and shields are in-game, NPC’s have been manually created, new textures have been made by Anvil Citizen for the Imperial City and some clutter, flora has been replaced with custom models by 3AMt and the first creature is in-game courtesy of Aerisarn, a video of which can by found on my channel. Furthermore we have our first quests and voiced dialogue thanks to Ormin and Zilav and finally the world has been navmeshed almost entirely and clothing has been converted by Greavesy and Yazza.
From here on out progress will be faster and updates more frequent. Though there is still allot of work left a release date is coming closer and closer.
Thanks to everyone who has supported us and we hope to share more information soon!
