If you’re a Skype user like me, but based in the UK, this news should bring a smile to your face. The Microsoft-owned company are now offering pre-paid cards starting from £10.
A £20 card will also be on offer, at retailers Asda, Currys, PC World, Sainsburys as well as bookseller WHSmith. Both denominations will be redeemable through their online portal. More countries will soon get the pre-paid Skype card rollout, which will include their own currency-specific cards.
Pre-paid cards for Skype can be used for subscriptions, including unlimited world calling bundles, from just £8.49 per month. This comes just in time for the upcoming Windows Phone 8 app which should be quite amazing for Skype calls.
