Skyrim – Dawnguard PC Review

As you can tell I’m not really keen on giving too many plot details away with this review, the purpose of an RPG is to get out there and discover what the game has to offer for your self, which is why this review holds only key bits of information that I’m sure you would find out in any simple synopsis for the content, I would hate to be the one who spoils the plot for you.

Over all though, given that I was at a point of boredom with Skyrim, long since moved on to other titles that I’m reviewing at the moment, it was nice to make the return and squeeze something fresh out of the title. Bethesda say the content should bring you around 15 hours of new playing time to the game, which to my estimates sounds about right, but since I decided to side track a bit, as you do, play around in the main quests, get side tracked by people that had lost a helmet in a dungeon and the million other things that pique your interest when walking the lands in this title, I clocked in an extra 40 hours of entertainment from the game, which as far as I’m concerned makes this DLC superb value for money.

So if you’re a big Elder Scrolls fan, this really is a no brainer and is well worth picking up, if you’re new to the game, I suggest you buy it early as the way it blends in with the main game is faultless and only further enhances the gameplay experience. I especially recommend this DLC to those who have long since got bored of the game after countless hours of gameplay, as it really does spark some fresh blood into the game, which is why I am awarding Dawnguard our Games Choice Award.
