When it comes to games, there are many different genres and types you can play. In recent years, there have been several released that instead of offering lives and weapons you are instead forced to use your mind and your courage as you are often hunted and pursued by an invincible threat. These games can trace themselves to the proof of concept game based on the internet meme, Slender Man, and now it would seem that the chill will soon join you in the cinema as Sony is said to be working on a movie for the suited threat.
The film company Screen gems is a part of Sony pictures and is said to be in talks to create a movie based on the Slender Man creature. While initial reports say there isn’t a complete script at the moment there is a small chance that the film could start product before we get to 2017.
Slender Man is a blank-faced figure, typically seen as a tall masculine built person in a suit who chases after people with limbs which extend. The worst part of the tale is it follows a reverse weeping angel logic within his games, that is the figure moves while you aren’t looking at it but when you view the figure it speeds up considerably, meaning you can’t see the threat that’s coming after you.
While a rather old tale now thanks to its age on the internet, if done right you may have cinema-goers watching the trees as they drive home after the film.
