While Edward Snowden is now a wanted man and the USA are struggling to find ways to extradite him legally another option for them could just be to “take him out”. In the event that something like this does happen Edward Snowden has reportedly prepared for the worst and created and distributed several backups of NSA documents according to Russia Today. Though “assassinating” Edward Snowden would be a very foolish move by the U.S government and would cause a huge outrage across the nation.
Glenn Greenwald, one of the reporters who revealed these NSA revelations to the public, says that highly encrypted versions of the NSA files have been distributed through the passwords have not. Of these very sensitive documents few have been released but each one is probably newsworthy. Only 5 of the 41 PRISM slides have been revealed to the public – if the public are displeased right now imagine how much displeasure could be waiting for them in the other 36 PRISM slides?
“Snowden has taken extreme precautions to make sure many different people around the world have these archives to insure the stories will inevitably be published…If anything happens at all to Edward Snowden, he told me he has arranged for them to get access to the full archives” Greenwald stated.
