Snowed In Studios Announces Windforge for the PC

Snowed In Studios, an Ottawa-based video game and interactive media developer, has officially announced the development of Windforge; their first original PC-based title.

Windforge is expected to capture audiences as a 2D building-block Role-Playing Game (RPG) with high-quality graphics located in a beautiful and exotic sky world named Cordeus. The game will empower players with the freedom to create elaborate structures and airships used for exploration and combat in the skies. Windforge will be easy to play, but difficult to master, as players unravel the many mysteries of the game’s world.

“Building block games have enormous potential, but many of them are lacking clear direction and story” said Evan Hahn, Co-Founder of Snowed In Studios and Creative Director of the project. “While embracing the players’ freedom of expression makes these games special, I believe also adding structure and narrative will help harness the game’s potential, and push the genre beyond what we’ve ever seen before.”

Supported by the OMDC Interactive Digital Media Fund, Windforge is currently in development and is expected to be released later this year.
