Now cocktail fans and alcoholics need never leave their home: Somabar, the robot bartender, will mix your drinks for you in under five seconds.
Somabar, currently seeking funding on Kickstarter, is an automised drinks mixer that can be controlled through an iOS or Android app. The machine mixes cocktails from six pods that can be filled with different liquids – alcohol or mixers – by your command on the smartphone app. Quantity and mix ratios can be customised, all over WiFi. You could be preparing your Rob Roy as you walk up the footpath, ready to guzzle down by the time you open your front door.
Somabar has already surpassed its $50,000 target on Kickstarter by nearly double, and still has 27 days remaining. Units will cost $699 and will start shipping in July.
