Patch 07 for Sons of The Forest has been released adding some major improvements as well as the introduction of dedicated servers.

Patch 07 for Sons of the Forest has introduced another boss battle and cut scene to the end of the game instantly improving on the strange and abrupt ending that the game currently has. For killing this boss there is a new rifle which has been added and hidden within a cave. Alongside this is the introduction of drivable golf carts which were dotted around the map offering a much faster method of transport. For those who like building cool bases, there are several new additions with improvements to the stone structures from the last update with the introduction of stone doorways, struts windows and pillars. New decorations have been added in the form of window shutters and animal head trophies which can be acquired through killing various animals. If you thought drinking out of any water source without consequence was strange, then your thoughts have been answered to with the introduction of a dirty and clean water system.
Onto the main inclusion of this update, dedicated servers which will allow users to play multiplayer without relying on the host being on the server. A guide has been provided for setting up this server and involves going to the “tools” section of your Steam library.

Demon boss reduced health and damage it delivers. Some attacks have longer cooldown and increased it’s damage against structures

Fix for boiling audio continuing to play if the fire that an active cooking pot is sitting on is destroyed

Impact sound effects are now also triggered when they hit other pickups so that a pile of pickups would make sound
