Sony announced that it will continue to roll out Android Lollipop 5.0 updates for a variety of its smartphones starting today, April 13. The company has focused on models such as the Xperia Z1 Compact, Xperia Z Ultra, Xperia Z1 and Xperia Z3 Dual, which means that if you own one of these particular smartphones, you might want to keep an eye out for an update notification. Sony also stated that Lollipop will arrive on the Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra starting next week, and the news also goes for the dual SIM versions of these devices.
Next in line are the Xperia Z, Xperia ZL, Xperia ZR and Xperia Tablet Z models, which will receive the newest Android “in a few weeks time.” Now keep in mind that the availability of these updates might depend on local carriers and markets, which means that not everyone will benefit from them at the same time. It looks like Sony is determined to outfit its gadgets with the fresh operating system as soon as possible, which comes as no surprise considering the fact that Lollipop is touted to be the most stable and user-friendly Android to date. Do you own a Sony Xperia, and if you do, are you looking forward to the Lollipop update?
