Sony game announcements at Gamescom

At yesterdays briefing for SCEE (Sony Computer Entertainment Europe) as well as revelations of PS3 price cuts, PS Vita and PSP E-1000 (sadly lacking Wi-Fi) there were also a number of trailers and gameplay features for upcoming titles soon to hit our shelves, the show kicked off with videos of Batman: Arkham City, Resistance 3 and journey,followed by current SCEE president taking to the stage stating “Today PlayStation is stronger than ever, as an innovator and entertainment provider”.
Shortly after a demo of PS Vita was given using FPS Resistance: Burning Skies to display the advantages of the integrated dual shock analogue sticks on the device as well as touch controls for various weapons, a couple more games for the device were put on show including Little Big Planet showing the use of the front and rear cameras for importing real world images into the platformer, next on show was Reality Fighters which again used the camera’s to capture pictures of the players faces for them to then imported as the face of their characters to then fight it out, there was also the mention of third party support such as 6 titles coming from Ubisoft including a new Assassins Creed title.
With Playstation Move hitting 8.8 million units sold worldwide some new games were also in the offering here with the mention of EA Sports Fifa 13, Resistance 3 and Little Big Planet 2 Move pack, there is also the new sport and fitness range for Move including Move Fitness and Dance Star Party.
The final title to be shown was Infamous 2: Festival Of Blood due for download on the PS3 late this year.
