Sony may be planning to release its own Kinect-style product.
That’s according to a patent filed by the company in late 2011 and spotted by Kotaku following its publication earlier this month.
Filed by Sony research and development wizard Dr. Richard Marks, who previously created EyeToy and PlayStation Move, it describes a “user-driven three-dimensional interactive gaming environment” created by plugging a camera into a PlayStation that could read player positioning and movement.
