While Sony’s Vaio laptop series is getting rather ‘old’, they have been remedying this effect with two new products in the same series: the 15.5” Vaio and the 13.3” Vaio SA for an update to the current line-up.
Each feature very similar hardware, starting at $999 you still get an Intel Core i5 2430M, 4GB of DDR3-1333 RAM, a 500GB hard drive rotating at 5400 RPM, a DVD burner, USB 3.0 and 2.0 ports, HDMI output, SD card slot as well as Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
Slight difference other than the screen size is that the 13.3” is equipped with an AMD Radeon HD 6630M graphics while the 15.5” includes a Radeon HD 6470M. Although both support Intel’s Wireless Display Technology.
Of course the starting price is of $999 with basic setup, you can upgrade the model of your choice, but you’ll obviously raise the price point.
