One of the most anticipated games this year has been South Park The Fractured But Whole. Aside from being a bit of a pig to type out, the game itself is looking to emulate the success of its predecessor The Stick of Truth.
With a scheduled release date of October 17th, the PC specifications for South Park The Fractured But Whole have been revealed.
Considering that the previous South Park game only required 2gb of RAM and was even compatible with Windows XP, it might lead you to think they’d try to emulate the reasonably low-level specs.
The good news is, they have mostly. The minimum specification is actually quite benign. The specifications for South Park The Fractured But Whole are as follows:
The specifications for South Park The Fractured But Whole are as follows:
MINIMUM SPECIFICATION
Processor – i5 2400 or FX 4320
Graphics Card – GTX 560Ti or HD 7850
Memory – 6 GB of RAM
RECOMMENDED SPECIFICATION
Processor i5-4690K or FX-8350
Graphics Card – GTX 670 or R9 280X
Memory – 8 GB of RAM.
The thoughts I take away from these specifications are that they have tried to keep these as reasonable as possible and for a new release, I think they’re decent and highly reasonable.
There might be some concerns that South Park The Fractured But Whole might not be offensive enough (so say the developers), but at least the specifications are not offensive.
Despite the fact that I recently upgraded from the AMD 8350, I love that it still has the punch, even on brand new releases.
The specifications, as released via GameSpot, do have a caveat. The recommended spec is based on 1080 graphical experience at 60fps. Therefore those who like the graphical 4k love might need something a bit flashier.
Due for release on console and PC on October 17th, this is surely going to be a laugh riot. I personally can not wait.
