A Closer Look

First lets take a look at the wired controller, it features a turn top that allows for master volume control and on the side you’ll find a handy headphone connection as well as a microphone line-in.

The sub measures in at 190 × 210 × 210mm, so it’s pretty compact and should be easy enough to tuck away under your desk, or even on top of your desk, next to your TV etc. It’s got a wooden body and a bright red metal mesh over the driver, I can’t say I’m a fan of the red, but it doesn’t look terrible either.

There are four durable rubber pads on the bottom, these will help reduce vibration on hard floors, but also prevent it from sliding around on which ever surface you place it on.

Around the back you’ll find a hard-wired power cable.

The main I/O panel is located on the side of the sub, not quite sure why as this means it’s going to be difficult to hide cables out-of-the-way. There are sound inputs and outputs at the top; with the outputs for the speakers. There are separate standby and power buttons, therefore meaning that the master power switch is great as it means the device will use no power. Finally you’ll find two dials; one for master volume and one for bass. The volume sets the maximum overall volume that can be achieved even when the in-line controller is set to maximum.

Just like the sub, the speakers also feature a red metal mesh design on the front.

The speakers are formed from a plastic mould and feature a small hole at the back. They’re designed so that the speakers driver is angled slightly upwards, which should provide a more optimal listening position should you have the speakers on your desk.
