Final Thoughts
Price
The Xeox is available from many online retailers for around £20 here in the UK, prices do vary a lot from store to store, but a quick Google will easily net you one for a little less than £20. The same great value can be found in the US too, with Amazon.com listing the controller from just $25.
Overview
Overall the controller feels very similar to the Xbox 360 controller, but with a few tweaks and refinements that make it that make it that little bit better. The D-Pad has been improved and offers greater precision than the Xbox 360 type one, but falls just a little short of the accuracy that you get from the official PlayStation 3 D-Pad. The trade-off here being that the D-Pad on the Xeox controller is considerably more comfortable to use than either.
The rubber coating is hard-wearing and will help prevent the controller from getting scratched up, while also adding extra grip and overall comfort while gaming. Personally I think I’d like all my controllers to have this rubber grip treatment from now on, it’s nice to hold and aesthetically pleasing too.
Price wise the controller is an absolute bargain and when compared to the official PlayStation 3 controller I find it hard to justify spending almost twice as much. The build quality is great, the feature set is as you would expect, it’s more comfortable to hold and use than the official controller and if you’re a fan of the Xbox layout, but prefer to game on the PlayStation 3, then it really is a no-brainer.
Of course the added benefit here is that the controller is fully wireless, comes with its own USB dongle and can be used on both PlayStation 3 and PC. Given that it’s also cheaper than a wireless Xbox 360 controller it’s an ideal solution for those who love to kick back and play their PC games on the big screen.

“At this price range it’s hard to be too fussy about performance, but the Xeox manages to impress non the less and if your on the market for a cheaper controller, but still want high quality, then Speedlink have certainly got you covered.”
