Android projectors are not exactly the most popular devices in the world, but they are slowly gaining acceptance from a wider audience. For example, a company named ZTE has unveiled an Android projector named Spro Plus, which basically looks and behaves just like a regular, albeit thicker tablet. The device boasts an 8.4-inch AMOLED screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 801 processor. Other highlights include 128GB of expandable storage space, optional LTE data and a 500-lumen projector, of course. At the end of the day, we’re looking at a chunky tablet that can project 80-inch images on you wall, which can definitely come in handy for casual presentations and conferences.
Using an Android projector certainly sounds practical, as these all-in-one devices eliminate the need for you to carry around a laptop and a projector. For conferencing, the product is also accompanied by an optional USB camera, but it’s also worth noting that the Spro Plus can be used for entertainment purposes as well, particularly when it comes to watching movies. Unfortunately, there’s no word on a potential price tag for this gadget just yet, but we do know that it’s set to be launched officially in summer. It will probably cost a much as a regular projector, but it might be worth it given its portability.
