Square Enix’s Mysterious Title Gets a Full Reveal Tomorrow

square-enix

Square Enix is about to reveal its latest title tomorrow. You probably have heard of it by now, it was roaming around the internet as “Star”, hinting that the company might be revealing its next Star Ocean title. However, fans will be disappointed to know that the “STAR” title has now been revealed to be “START”.

So what could the company be revealing tomorrow? Well, the possibilities are endless. But to narrow it down, we reported that Square Enix will reveal a JRPG by the end of this year.

Yosuke Matsuda, Square Enix’s CEO, did not reveal much about what its intentions are with the upcoming JRPG title, but he sees a lot of potential in it. Also, Matsuda hinted that the company will be preparing “all kinds of things” for E3, so the possibility of a fresh new title or a sequel are the same at this point.

If it is going to be a JRPG, judging from the website’s wallpaper, it would indicate that it has a high chance of being set in a sci-fi and (or) futuristic era, maybe even something close to space exploration?

All in all, the company even has a lot of titles to choose from if it wants to create a sequel. We don’t even have to speak about Final Fantasy and its great success, or even Dragon Quest Heroes.

Tomb Raider and Just Cause might be out of the picture here since the new Tomb Raider has already been announced and there is not even a whiff about a new Just Cause sequel, rendering its western titles highly improbable of having a link to this title’s release.

We now just have to wait it out and see what the company has to bring. Given the approach taken by Square Enix to reveal this mysterious title, we might even be looking at the next big hit. Stay tuned for more details.
