It’s been less than 48 hours since its debut on PC and Xbox, and yet STALKER 2: Heart of Chornobyl has already reached an important sales milestone. The developers at GSC Game World took to social media a few minutes ago to announce that their latest title has reached 1 million copies sold.
In fact, as confirmed by the Ukrainian team, the number of actual players is much higher since the title is included in the PC Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate catalog. Therefore, many are playing it through Microsoft’s subscription service, which makes this result even more impressive.
“No wonder it feels a bit crowdy in the Zone. A million copies were sold, and much more stalkers joined the artifact hunt with Game Pass. This is just the start of our unforgettable adventure. The Heart of Chornobyl emanates stronger with each of us,” reads the message on X from GSC Game World.
On the occasion of the launch, GSC Game World posted a message stating that the game is a project of “love and passion” (and we believe them, considering that work has continued despite the hardships caused by the war in Ukraine). Additionally, the team also promised long-term support to fix bugs, improve issues, and enhance other aspects of the game.
