Well, this is definitely good news for those of you who’ve been aching to try out Star Citizen for a bit before its official launch. Cloud Imperium has just launched a brand new “Free Fly” event this week, which means that you can actually go ahead and play Star Citizen for free until Friday. During the event, you will be able to try out the new Star Citizen 2.1.2 Alpha build, which is also known as Crusader. Free Fly players will be able to try out ships such as the Aurora LN starter, F7C military fighter and Mustang Delta interceptor, all of which have their own strengths and weaknesses. The Alpha build comprises numerous space stations and environments, as well as various places that are just waiting to be explored.
Aside from the main build, players will also gain access to the Social Module, which allows them to interact with each other at the game’s first landing zone, ArcCorp. Moreover, the Arena Commander sounds like a lot of fun too, as it can be used to organize battles with either human or AI opponents. If you want to give Star Citizen a try for a while, you should definitely go ahead and register right here in order to download it.
