Star Trek: Bridge Crew Now Playable Without VR
Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
Ubisoft has released a new free update for Virtual Reality game Star Trek: Bridge Crew which removes the VR headset requirement. This is great news for non-VR Star Trek fans who want in on the action. Since VR headsets still cost a pretty penny and require considerable hardware to run, the latest patch allows more players access. Those without VR headsets can now use either a game controller, or simply a mouse plus keyboard to navigate around U.S.S. Aegis (or U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701).
The patch could not have come out at a better time as Star Trek: Bridge Crew is currently available for a discount via Steam. In the UK, the regular price of £39.99 is down to just £19.99.
Star Trek Bridge Crew System Requirements
These are the official system requirements for the game. However, this is from when it is just strictly for VR which requires considerably more framerates. So if your PC specs are slightly less than these, you might still be able to run the game.
