Star Wars 1313 Is Still Receiving Some Attention

Star Wars 1313 sounded like a very promising game when it was first announced at E3 in 2012. Instead of focusing on the supernatural powers of the Jedi and Sith, the game was meant to put the player in control of a skilled bounty hunter that used an impressive weapons arsenal in order to take down his targets with incredible efficiency. Named after the notorious criminal underground located deep under Coruscant’s surface, Star Wars 1313’s development process was put on hold after the Disney acquisition. Now, it looks like the game is still receiving some attention from Lucasfilm, at least according to the studio’s president, Kathleen Kennedy.
It would appear that the studio is actually looking over the game’s concept art and might actually consider resuming the development process, which would be fantastic news for all Star Wars fans. I’m not saying that Battlefront isn’t a fun and engaging game, but it doesn’t offer much in the way of storytelling, and 1313 could definitely bridge this gap by offering gamers a chance to immerse themselves in the Star Wars universe. When asked what she thinks about the game’s concept art, Kathleen has stated the following:
“Unbelievable. So our attitude is, we don’t want to throw any of that stuff away. It’s gold. And it’s something we’re spending a lot of time looking at, pouring through, discussing, and we may very well develop those things further. We definitely want to.”
Apparently, there’s still some hope for Star Wars 1313.
