Star Wars Battlefront 2 Player Uses Robot to Grind for Credits

Star Wars Battlefront 2 requires players to spend a lot of time on the game so they can earn credits. These credits are then used to unlock features on the game. Despite efforts to lower these credit requirements, some players still feel offended that they have to spend that much time playing just to unlock features. Which is why some are resorting to using tricks to grind for credits in the game. This is called “AFK farming”, which basically involves circumventing the game’s built-in method of kicking out inactive players so that they can earn experience points for participating in a game.

“AFK Farming” Setups aka Progression Droid

A user named Garbtronix has shared his AFK farming setup on YouTube using an Arduino Uno and two micro servos. Plus some popsicle sticks and pieces of wood. Servo #1 randomly presses the joysticks with random timing and position. Meanwhile, Servo #2 presses X once in a while to join matches and respawn. According to Gabtronix aka /u/lowberg on Reddit, he built this setup as a joke and not to read too much into the setup.

Fellow redditor /u/F0ngen however, has a rudimentary and simpler progression droid setup. He simply uses two rubber bands pulling on the analog controllers. He says it is so simple he can earn credits in his sleep. However, he is lacking one requirement which is pressing the X button once in a while. Star Wars Battlefront II will kick users out with out. Redditor /u/stuartfvito suggests he get one of those drinking birds like what Homer Simpson did in that classic episode to solve this problem.
