The official EA Star Wars Twitter account has revealed that the third instalment in the Star Wars: Battlefront series will be out this Holiday season for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, presumably time to coincide with the 18th December cinema release of Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens.
The critically acclaimed first/third-person tactical shooters were formerly developed by Pandemic Studios, but EA-owned DICE are handing the coding duties this time around.
Elsewhere, EA has announced the first official glimpse of the game will be at the Star Wars Celebration, which takes place in Anaheim, California from 16th to 19th April. EA had previously teased that anxious gamers would “See More in Spring 2015”, with some erroneously pegging it as the season of the game’s release date.
