Star Wars: Battlefront Won’t Have Split Screen Support on the PC

If some of you were hoping to play Star Wars: Battlefront in split screen mode on the PC, I’m afraid that I have some disappointing news. Based on a series of new FAQ notes released by DICE and Electronic Arts, the upcoming Star Wars game will not feature split-screen support on the PC even though its console versions will boast this feature. It’s hard to tell exactly why the developers chose this route, but it may be because they thought that PC gamers would not have much use for this particular gaming mode. Nevertheless, it’s still a sting for some PC gamers out there, but hopefully it won’t affect the game’s popularity too much.
The FAQ notes also state that players will not gain career multiplayer experience by playing Missions. Instead, they will get credits that will be used to purchase unlocks. The developers also wanted us to know that we won’t be able to control Y-wings, and they also shed some light on a new gaming mode named Walker Assault.
“In Walker Assault, vehicles are tied to the power up system. When you find a vehicle power up on the map, you will need to activate it, which immediately spawns you inside the vehicle. Vehicle power ups specifically must be used within a certain amount of time. This is a design decision to allow more equal distribution of the vehicle power ups amongst all players.”
Are you looking forward to Star Wars: Battlefront?
