I love Bethesda RPGs, even with all their problems, I’ve always liked the way they do things, and more often than not, that joy comes from absurd glitches that can be exploited, over, and over, and over again. Today is no exception either, as it turns out you can score a load of loot in Starfield by looking at a puddle… yep!
If you go to Akila and visit Shepherd’s General Store, switch to Third Person view, and then look at a puddle just outside the store, you will discover it contains the entire store’s inventory. What’s even more bonkers is that it doesn’t count as stealing, and you can just help yourself to all of it. For added insult, you can then go into the shop and sell it all back to them to make some serious bank in rapid time.
Of course, all you have to do is wait 24 hours in the game by finding somewhere to sit, and you can go back and do it all over again! Just one thing, make sure you’re in incognito mode, if anyone is watching you, it will act as stealing, but otherwise, you’re good to fill your inventory time and time again.
“WOW,” YouTuber JamieMoranUK posted to X/Twitter. “If you go to Akila City, look in a puddle in front of the store, Shepherds. You can get all the store’s inventory for FREE. Make bank, wait 24 hours and do it all over again.” Jamie Moran said on twitter.

You would think this is a one-off, but you would be wrong. You can do the same damn thing outside of Rowland Arms in Akila City too… bonkers!
It’s a bit of a game-breaking bug if you abuse it, but what the hell, if you want to bank some credits and upgrade your ship, why not, it’ll only get patched out in the near future anyway!
