Microsoft has confirmed that it will be releasing a Star Wars R2-D2 themed Xbox 360 with Kinect this Autumn. The pack will also include the upcoming Star Wars game which also officially supports Microsoft’s Kinect technology. That game was showed off earlier this year at E3 2011. The limited edition Xbox 360 is painted and styled to resemble the Star Wars character R2-D2 and comes with a larger 320GB hard drive, two C3PO gold controllers, a white Kinect and a copy of the Star Wars game.
The retail price for this pack will be $449 and some larger retailers are apparently already accepting and offering pre-orders for what is expected to be a highly demanded set. This is the second limited edition Xbox 360 console to be planned as a Gears of War edition one is due for release in September which was announced earlier this year. Stock is expected to be more limited than previous limited edition Xbox 360’s as Xbox shifts attention to the next Gen of Xbox consoles. Pre-order is probably your best chance of getting hold of one of these, wait until Christmas and it will probably be sold out.
