Startech announces a new universal USB 3.0 Docking Station

StarTech.com has announced the release of the USB 3.0 SATA/IDE HDD Docking Station (UNIDOCK3U).
The UNIDOCK3U offers two top-slot drive bays, allows IDE and SATA hard drives to be inserted vertically into the dock, features a space saving design, and most important of all, offers a simple solution for transferring data from one hard drive to another.
The dock supports both 2.5” and 3.5” hard drive form factors, making its a versatile utility for both desktop and laptop drives, it remains backwards compatible with older USB host connections to ensure broad compatibility with older computers.

The new USB 3.0 to SATA/IDE HDD Docking Station includes the following features:
- Support for both 3.5” and 2.5” hard drive form factors
- Includes all IDE data and power cables required for connection
- Patented drive eject button for SATA hard drives
- SuperSpeed USB 3.0 compliant host interface, which supports transfer rates up to 5 Gbps
- Individual power switches/status LEDs for each drive
