StarTech.com has recently announced their latest product; the USB to VGA Adapter and the USB to DVI Adapter.
StarTech has always been known as one of the leading manufacturers of hard-to-find connectivity parts, and these latest product will add to their product line of USB adapters that bring the expandability of multiple monitors to a wider audience.
“The USB2VGAE3 and USB2DVIE3 are the newest USB 2.0 to VGA and USB to DVI adapters in the StarTech.com lineup” said John Mardinly, Senior Product Manager for StarTech.com. “Our focus for these adapters was to provide USB video adapters that are capable of supporting high resolutions and deliver exceptional performance for web browsing and office applications. The new adapters are easy to install, and do not require users to take apart their system which could void the computer manufacturers’ warranties.”
Supporting high resolutions of up to 1920×1200 and being optimized for web browsing and office applications, both adapters work perfectly on either desktop or laptop as long as you have a USB connection, through which the power is directly supplied, meaning no additional power adapter is required.
Not only do their small factor give them an easy-to-carry functionality, but their sheer simplicity to connect make it suitable for anyone looking for an extra monitor. Interestingly though, the USB to DVI also includes a DVI to VGA converter, allowing it both connectivity options.
Thought to replace the previous version, both the USB to VGA (USB2VGAE3) and the USB to DVI (USB2DVIE3) are available now from authorized retailers and etailers for the retail recommended price of £69.99 for the USB to VGA Adapter and £71.99 for the USB to DVI Adapter.
