I know you had at least one game that you didn’t like playing after you bought it or is just simply full of bugs and glitches. Valve surprisingly started to understand the frustrations and is now offering refunds for any Steam purchases. But you want to know the best part? Well, you can get a refund for almost any given reason!
Of course, this does not mean you will be able to abuse the system, but it does really seem like a nice way of not having any regrets for buying a crap game. You can now just ask for your money back. However, there are certain conditions, but they don’t seem too much from my point of view.
Valve said that you can receive refunds within 14 days of purchasing a game which you did not play for more than 2 hours. This of course makes sense since you can’t really say you haven’t enjoyed a game you played for 24 hours straight after you bought it. But this also does not mean you can ask for refunds over and over again.
Also, if you pre-ordered a game months before it gets a release, don’t worry. Valve said it will apply the 14 days and 2 hours game time conditions after the title is released, not from the moment you pre-ordered it. The company has more details about how its refund system works over here.
