Dropping Support for macOS 10.11 and 10.12

Today Steam has announced that they will be dropping support for macOS 10.11 (El Capitan) and 10.12 (Sierra) from September 1st. Those still running these versions of macOS are encouraged to update to a newer version. The reasoning for the drop in support is the same as the drop of Windows 7 and 8, both of these versions of macOS are no longer supported with security updates making machines using them vulnerable. These versions of macOS also don’t support the Google Chrome functions which Steam requires to run.

For the few of you that do play games on a Mac, I imagine most of you are already updated, but if you haven’t you should probably get on that before September.
