Steam Working On A Feature To Hide Games From Your Friends

As some of you may be aware, Steam has a fair few games that aren’t exactly family-friendly and most of the time you don’t want your friends seeing you playing these games. The current solution for this is either having a private profile or using a second secret account for these “games”, but it seems Steam may be working on a new solution for this problem.
Marking Steam Games as Private
As shared by Pavel Djundik, creator of SteamDB, Valve may be working on a system that allows you to mark a game as private and hide it from your friends. The included photo shows CS2 with the 3 dots dropdown clicked and Mark as Private placed on the bottom of the list.
This should be a good change for those who aren’t brave enough to openly have certain games listed on their profiles with a concerning number of hours tacked alongside. Some people even have their boss as a friend on Steam and that’s a conversation they’d rather not have, it’s a lot easier to explain why you have 500 hours in the EVGA Precision app than explaining 500 hours in “Furry Feet”. So long as you aren’t playing when you should be working It’s probably not a conversation your boss will want to have anyway.
