SteelSeries is one of the biggest names in the gaming peripherals market, having made some of the most popular headsets for consoles, PC and even mobile devices, such as their Siberia range. Now they’re back, promising flagship levels of performance and features, at sub-flagship prices.
The new Arctis series of headsets will come with three models, the Arctis 3, Arctis 5 and Artis 7, each priced at $80, $100, and $150 respectively. What’s important is that SteelSeries are keen to assure their fans that they’ve not compromised on quality, even if you buy the more affordable model in the range. All of the headsets come equipped with 7.1 surround sound and packed full of features to suit your gaming, movie and music needs.
“Arctis is not a gaming headset. It is a headset line for gamers,” SteelSeries chief executive Ehtisham Rabbani said in a statement. “That is how we approached the new audio lineup – with a fresh perspective as to who our customers really are and what they want. Brands have been distracting gamers for far too long with meaningless specification races and options that encourage spending more in order to get gaming-level quality. Arctis changes that.”
