SteelSeries has announced the launch of its new Apex Pro Gen 3 Series keyboards, starting at $190. The new models build on the success of the original Apex Pro, which first hit the market in 2019 and became a popular choice among professional gamers for its fully adjustable actuation. The third-generation keyboards continue the brand’s legacy with upgraded features aimed at delivering faster and more precise gameplay.

The Apex Pro Gen 3 series introduces OmniPoint 3.0 technology, featuring the world’s first Hall Effect Gen 3 sensor. This innovation offers gamers 40 customizable actuation levels, from a responsive 0.1 mm to 4.0 mm, and an impressive 0.54 ms response time. “These switches are 11 times faster than standard mechanical switches,” SteelSeries highlighted.
The new software suite, GG QuickSet, is designed to simplify settings adjustment. Players can choose profiles crafted by professional esports players, optimizing the keyboard’s performance for different games. “Rapid Tap and Rapid Trigger features enhance the gaming experience, providing faster input without waiting for key release,” the company explained. The Protection Mode further ensures accidental key presses don’t disrupt gameplay.
