SteelSeries has just announced the launch of two new Arctis series headsets. The new Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P+ Wireless will join the ranks of their already-pretty fantastic lineup. It looks like they’ve not tinkered with their winning formula too much either, as both headsets have that familiar modern design we’ve seen them use for the latest couple of years now, and that’s a good thing, as they look great!
These new models look to be a welcome upgrade to the old models that they’re clearly set to replace. As SteelSeries have said “the fans spoke. SteelSeries listened.” People wanted more battery life, faster charging, and USB-C connectivity, and that’s exactly what they’ve delivered. The Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P+ wireless now deliver 30+ hours of battery life, 15-minute quick charge, which will give you 3 hours of gameplay, and an upgraded USB-C play-and-charge connector.
Purposefully engineered for multi-system compatibility for PC, PlayStation, Mac, Android, Switch, and Oculus Quest 2, the Arctis 7+ uses lossless 2.4 GHz wireless audio for ultra-low latency gaming audio via a compact USB-C dongle. To keep gamers in the zone, the Arctis 7+ features 30+ hours of battery life for nonstop gaming, easy on-ear headset controls including ChatMix, and a durable lightweight steel frame with an adjustable elastic ski-goggle style band for a comfortable fit. A Discord certified, retractable ClearCast mic uses a bidirectional design for superior noise-cancellation and vocal clarity and features an LED mute indicator.

With the launch of the Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P+ wireless headsets, SteelSeries provides gamers with early access to Sonar, an all-new audio software for powerful sound customization for PC that enables ChatMix, 7.1 virtual surround sound, and additional features that will officially launch in 2022. Sonar joins the SteelSeries GG software ecosystem that includes Moments, the free app that allows gamers to clip, edit, and share gaming highlights with friends across YouTube and Gfycat, Discord, Reddit, Twitter, Facebook, and more, and SteelSeries Engine, which powers its award-winning line of mice, keyboards, and headsets.
The SteelSeries Arctis 7+ and Arctis 7P+ wireless gaming headsets are now, with the Arctis 7+ Wireless and Arctis 7P+ Wireless both coming in at $169 US, and both are available in either black or white variants. Hopefully, we’ll have a review sample here soon too, and I can put them both through their paces!
