Today SteelSeries has revealed their first-ever microphone in the form of the Alias with both a USB and XLR connection targeted towards gamers and streamers.
The Alias is a gaming microphone fitted with a 1″ premium capsule that captures your voice with more fidelity. This mic is powered by Sonar for controlling all of the aspects of the microphone, plus it features ClearCast AI noise cancellation and a 10-band equaliser for deep, rich vocals. It uses a cardioid pickup pattern that allows your voice to be captured no matter what, plus it has LED voice level monitoring giving you feedback on how loud or quiet you are. With the Alias a shock mount is included to reduce the impact of vibrations on your desk plus it is completely compatible with a boom arm.
The Alias Pro is the same as the Alias with its 1″ capsule, LED Monitoring, Sonar control and shock mount but this model instead opts for an XLR connection. For those looking to link up to existing sound equipment for an even more professional sound, this mic allows you to connect through an XLR connection. On top of this, the Pro comes with a stream mixer with customisable controls that connects to the PC through USB and to the mic with XLR.
The ALIAS microphones are available at the SteelSeries store for the following prices:
