SteelSeries Rival 3 TrueMove Optical Gaming Mouse Review

How Much Does it Cost?
Amazingly, the Steelseries Rival 3 Optical Gaming Mouse is available right now for just £34.99 from most major retailers and from SteelSeries themselves. That includes their 30-day return policy and standard warranty.
Overview
I’ll admit, this mouse is pretty standard, with no really innovative features, but that’s hardly a bad thing… it’s just a damn mouse and a good one at that. It doesn’t offer the same crazy haptic feedback and OLED displays you get from their flagship, but let’s be honest, we don’t always need those features. What you do get, is everything you need. Two front buttons, two side buttons, a clickable scroll wheel, and a programmable button behind that. More than enough for your typical work and gaming sessions.
TrueMove
Their new sensor is on point too, and while I admit, it’s pretty hard to find a bad sensor these days, this one really is silky smooth. 8500 DPI is pretty swift for those fast turns in Battlefield vehicles, but 100 DPI is slow enough for those who like their hand to reach all corners of their desk. It may not be to the standards of an eSports mouse like the Sensei Ten, but it’s still pretty great.
Build Quality
This mouse is pretty tough, and it uses the same ABS body and construction as any other SteelSeries product. They also use the same Omron switches, so it really does feel like a more expensive model. While this may be a cheaper mouse, SteelSeries still has a reputation to uphold, and it holds up well.
Should I Buy One?
Feeling a bit of a void in your wallet, but still need a quality gaming mouse for the office? The SteelSeries Rival 3 is excellent value for money, just don’t tell SteelSeries or they’ll put the price up.
