Steelseries Rival 600 Gaming Mouse Review

How Much Does it Cost?

The Steelseries Rival 600 is available now for just £70.20 in the UK (down from £79.99). That’s not cheap, but it’s competitive given the build quality and features. In the US it’s $74.49 (down from $79.99). Quite a bit cheaper than the wireless Rival 650 which is just over £100/$100, although feature wise the two are broadly similar, it’s just wired vs wireless.

Overview

Steelseries are providing once again that they can do no wrong. I honestly don’t think I’ve reviewed one of their products that didn’t impress me in one way or another. Even back when I started my reviewing career and their first generation of Siberia headsets were wowing gamers, up to their latest Arctis 7 headset from a few weeks ago. Then their gaming mice, keyboards and more are all the same. Heck, their APEX RAW keyboard from 6 years ago that I reviewed is still in use in the office as my girlfriend’s work and gaming keyboard. It’s still as good as the day it launched.

Build Quality

It’s as well made as any mouse could hope to be. Much like their older hardware, I fully expect in years to come, the Rival 600 will still perform like the day it left the factory. Sure, you may have a few scuffs on the rubber and need some new slipmats, but that’s to be expected.

Performance

As fancy as it looks, with all its pretty RGB lighting, this mouse is built to win digital battles and wars first and foremost. It’s got all the luxuries and comforts you would want as an at-home gamer, sure. However, it has performance hardware such as that sensor and the weight tuning system that give it broad appeal to the eSports community too. Honestly, I think the performance is as close to flawless as you could ask for.

Should I Buy One?

Well, if you have to read this, you didn’t read the rest of this review. I absolutely love this mouse, and it may be one of the best all-rounders you can buy today. Fantastic ergonomics, style, and performance. This one is going to be tough to beat.

So it's no wonder I write about tech and test the latest hardware while I enjoy my hobbies!
