Ron Perillo / 7 years ago
Steelseries is announcing two new gaming mouse in the Sensei 310 and Rival 310. The peripheral company is boasting that these are the first to use a true “1-to-1” tracking sensor. This makes for a much more precise input as there are no extrapolation or prediction. If it is a “1-to-1”, then only whatever movement the player makes is registered as an input. In high-stress eSports battles, this gives players unprecedented controls.
TrueMove3 Sensor
The Sensei 310 and Rival 310 use a customized PixArt 3360 optical sensor which SteelSeries calls “TrueMove3”. The 3360 sensor is also found on Roccat’s Leadr wireless gaming mouse. SteelSeries’ firmware adjustments with the renowned sensor claims a 1-to-1 tracking from 100 CPI all the way to 3600 CPI setting. According to SteelSeries, it took them 15 years to finally make a true-1-to-1 tracking work.
Sensei 310 and Rival 310 Features
Both the Sensei 310 and Rival 310 share similar features but primarily differ in the body style. The Rival 310 is for right-hand users, while the Sensei 310 is ambidextrous. This means that the Rival 310 has thumb buttons only on the left side, while the Sensei 310 has them on both sides.
