SteelSeries StarCraft II Mouse Mat Limited Edition Marine Version Review

It has been said that a computing man’s best friend is his mouse and as a mouse mat enhances the users experience of the mouse, surely it’s a must-have for all computer users. Back in the beginnings of time, we all had mechanical mice, you know those mice with balls in them? Well, you hardly ever saw one of those mechanical mice without a mouse mat, in fact they hardly operated without one. It was essential that the mouse mat could provide the traction for the ball for it to operate successful.
Times have changed, and now it seems less and less people have a mouse mat by default. With optical and laser mice working quite nicely on even laminated desks, are there still any advantages to a mouse mat. SteelSeries seem to think so.
SteelSeries carry out a lot of intensive research to help design all of their products. They even test their products with the aid of professional gaming teams to verify that they are suitable for all gamers. They spend lots of money and hours testing their range of gaming accessories to make sure that they are simply the best. We have seen that this does tend to produce good results but sometimes this can lead to the cost being passed onto the consumer making the mice and other more expensive peripherals. SteelSeries still believe that a good mouse mat can improve the precision, speed and control of the mouse, which of course will improve game play. That said, would a non-professional gamer notice any difference
